The Customs House in South Shields are celebrating a five year corporate partnership with local business Dicksons. With over 30 shops, Dicksons are a well-known name in the area and are the largest family owned provider of meat and food products in the region.

Ray Spencer & Elena Dickson

Executive Director, Ray Spencer explained “Over the years, Dicksons have supported The Customs House in a variety of ways but they are now taking this one step further and have pledged to support our charity for a five year period. We are delighted to have their on-going support and look forward to building a stronger relationship with this iconic South Tyneside brand”.

The partnership brings a much-needed annual donation to the work of the local arts charity, who reinvest their profits to help support the local community, deliver education projects, nurture new creative talent and maintain their magnificent Grade II listed building. The Customs House has inspired individuals across all ages and all areas of the community to engage in the creative arts, being inspired to try something new and whose well-being has been enriched through their involvement with arts.

Marketing Director, Elena Dickson commented “The Customs House is an integral part of the community within South Tyneside, ensuring that the Arts is accessible to everyone. We are proud to be able to provide support to the work they do and other charitable organisations within the communities we serve”
