You may ask “What is Cosplay?”Cosplay is an art form dedicated to creating costumes and dressing up as fictional characters. Having originated in Japan, the hobby is now widespread across the globe at comic conventions (e.g.: San Diego Comic Con). Cosplayers (the participants in the hobby) often post costumes online and those with popular characters and good craftsmanship often accumulate large fan-followings. Since its beginnings the hobby has even become a career path for many with cosplayers such as Yaya Han and Jessica Nigri earning a living from their costumes, patterns, photosets, and convention visits.
