Carols & Cocktails
By Ben Dickenson
Newcastle Alphabetti Theatre
Tuesday 8th December – Wednesday 23rd December 2015
Raucous carols, too many cocktails and two hosts on the edge of an emotional breakdown –Alphabetti’s Christmas show will make you cringe, sing and warm up with free shots of festive spirit.
Welcome to Carols and Cocktails, the Delivery UK Christmas Party taking place at Alphabetti Theatre this December. This two-man play rolls together every cringey office Christmas party you’ve been to, with a quest to woo Carol from marketing and a back story of loss and loneliness.
IT gurus John and Phil are reinventing themselves as musicians. They’ve covered the stage in instruments, and they’ll even hand every audience member a song book. What could go wrong? Well, for a start, they are both chasing the same lady...
It’s Christmas, it’s party time, it’s a Techie Tinsel Spectacular – its Carols and Cocktails.
Alphabetti Theatre is based in Newcastle and was formed by Ali Pritchard and is currently the only independent theatre in the city. They create, produce and program new original work from emerging artists across the performing arts. The intimate performance space complete with its own bar is open from 11am – 11pm Monday to Saturday and is a space to experiment, evolve and discover excellence for artists. Alphabetti champions fringe culture, developing high quality, professional productions in the grassroots; growing new audiences and artists alike.
